Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is part of Circle K's Global Finance organization and is responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations.

Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for a new team player to join our team as:

Accountant in Store Accounting Team for the Business Units of Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)

WHAT YOU`LL DO

  • Reconcile station-related balance sheet accounts, including cash, third-party services, convenience stock, and other items;

  • Clear daily transactions and promptly address any errors in collaboration with site managers based in Netherlands and Luxembourg;

  • Respond to queries from site managers, business unit representatives, and external partners as needed;

  • Review, prepare, and process journal entries based on information received from business unit and other partners;

  • Answer questions from other company units regarding processed financial records;

  • Execute month-end closing procedures, identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors;

  • Contribute to process improvement projects.

WHAT YOU`LL NEED

  • Experience within accounting for at least 1-2 years;

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or a last year student within this area (preferred);

  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written) to communicate with colleagues in Europe;

  • Experience with ERP (SAP, JDE experience will be considered as an advantage); 

  • Good computer skills (MS Office);

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; 

  • Precise, analytical, organized, solution oriented and stress resistant personality;

  • Self-motivated, positive, good team player.
