Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is part of Circle K's Global Finance organization and is responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations.

Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for a new team player to join our team as:

Accountant with Dutch language skills in Store Accounting Team for Belgium Business Unit

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA

WHAT YOU`LL DO

  • Reconcile station-related balance sheet accounts, including cash, lotteries, convenience stock, road tolls, and other items;

  • Perform monthly accounting processes related to franchise stations;

  • Clear daily transactions and promptly address any errors in collaboration with site managers based in Belgium;

  • Respond to queries from site managers, business unit representatives, and external partners as needed;

  • Review, prepare, and process journal entries based on information received from business unit and other partners;

  • Provide support by answering questions from other company departments regarding processed financial records;

  • Execute month-end closing procedures, identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors;

  • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU`LL NEED

  • Experience within accounting for at least 1-2 years;

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or a last year student within this area (preferred);

  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written) with colleagues and stakeholders in Europe; 

  • Fluent in Dutch (both verbal and written, at least B2 level) with colleagues and stakeholders in Belgium; 

  • French language skills will be considered as advantage;

  • Experience with ERP (SAP, JDE experience will be considered as an advantage); 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; 

  • Precise, analytical, organized, solution oriented and stress resistant personality;

  • Self-motivated, positive, good team player.
