What You Will Do:

  • Administer and maintain Oracle or MS SQL databases, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
  • Configure and manage database clusters, including multi-node cluster configurations.
  • Conduct performance tuning and capacity management to ensure databases operate efficiently.
  • Implement, manage and perform testing of backup and recovery solutions for Oracle or MS SQL databases.
  • Utilize automation and configuration management tools to streamline database operations and improve reliability.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with other teams to define and implement improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.

What We Expect:

  • Proven experience in database administration, with a strong focus on Oracle or MS SQL solutions.
  • Expertise in managing and configuring database clusters, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Proficiency in disk systems configuration, performance tuning, and capacity management.
  • Strong understanding of database security practices and experience with backup and recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to shared goals.
  • Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
