The role

The Fraud Operations team is focused on conducting investigations to identify and mitigate high-risk behaviour to protect GoCardless from fraud risks. We have a duty to banking partners, regulators, schemes, merchants and their customers to review and monitor accounts and transactions with the utmost care.

We're looking for a Senior Fraud Investigations Analyst to help build out investigative excellence. You will conduct complex, forensic-level investigations across our Fraud and Financial Crime domains and deliver robust intelligence to key stakeholders.

Working hours: Monday-Friday 9am - 6pm, and willingness to work on some public holidays.

What excites us
  • You possess significant experience in conducting complex fraud investigations or financial crime analysis, ideally within a FinTech or payment services environment
  • You have experience in using investigative tools and link analysis software
  • You have strong communication skills with an ability to strike the right tone with stakeholders, and can impart knowledge to your peers
  • You demonstrate exceptional reasoning and critical thinking skills, adept at dissecting complex financial data to distinguish legitimate activity from sophisticated illicit schemes.
  • You possess a profound understanding of how new information impacts complex problem-solving, strategic decision-making, and the evolution of fraud prevention frameworks
  • You're driven by initiative and understand the impact of every decision you make on our merchants 
  • You have deep industry knowledge and enjoy continually learning and scanning for new threats
  • Results-focused: You can prioritise, organise, and show initiative and are willing to get the job done 
  • You have experience in team leadership, whether formal or informal

Base salary range: € 3,400- € 5,100 (gross).

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data.  Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point (€ 3,400 - € 4,250) of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
