- Cross-Border Legal Support: Assist with legal issues related to international operations, including trade compliance, cross-border transactions, and dispute resolution.
- Dispute Resolution & Risk Management: Support the resolution of legal disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation, and assist in identifying and mitigating legal risks.
- Regulatory Filings & Reporting: Prepare and support regulatory submissions and ensure ongoing compliance with EU regulations, including data protection and competition law.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal departments, external counsel, and regulatory authorities to manage legal matters and ensure consistent communication.
- Legal Administration & Case Management: Maintain organized legal records, track case timelines and regulatory deadlines, and support preparation for meetings, hearings, and legal reviews.
- Licensed Legal Professional: Qualified lawyer with admission to practice in Latvia or another EU Member State.
- Educational Background: Master's degree in EU Law or an equivalent advanced legal qualification is preferred.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 4–5 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong focus on corporate and employment law, and proven expertise in EU regulations and cross-border transactions.
- Legal Expertise: Solid understanding of core EU legal frameworks, including competition law, data protection (GDPR), intellectual property, trade compliance, and employment law.
- Regulatory Application: Strong ability to interpret and apply EU directives, regulations, and case law to practical business scenarios.
- Legal Skills: Excellent legal research, drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaboration & Communication: Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with senior management, regulators, and external counsel.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Latvian and English (written and spoken at C1 level or higher) is required; knowledge of an additional EU language is an asset.
- International Experience: Prior experience working with multinational companies or international law firms, ideally in a cross-border or EU regulatory context.
- Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific legal issues - such as those in finance, technology, energy, defense, or aviation - that may affect corporate and employment law within the EU.
- Dispute Resolution Exposure: Previous involvement in litigation, arbitration, or other forms of dispute resolution, particularly in matters governed by EU law.
- Teamwork & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary, international teams.
- Competitive salary 4200 – 5200 EUR gross per month.
- Be part of exciting, meaningful projects that make a real positive impact.
- Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
