Role Overview
The Chief Legal & Compliance Officer will act as a Board Member and be responsible for ensuring full regulatory compliance with the Latvian Bank and ESMA requirements. This role focuses on building robust processes, managing external partners, and preparing the company for audits and new regulations. The candidate's appointment must be approved by the regulator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee compliance processes, draft and implement internal procedures.
  • Maintain registers and conduct partner due diligence.
  • Prepare the company for audits and regulatory changes (e.g., DORA).
  • Communicate with regulators (Latvian Bank, ESMA).
  • Manage external legal partners and advisors.
  • Participate in internal projects and regulatory-driven initiatives.

    Requirements
  • Proven compliance experience within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of MiFID II and EU regulatory framework.
  • Previous board-level or regulatory-facing experience.
  • Ability to draft and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Fluent English; the role involves communication with international partners.
