We're looking for a growth-minded Head of AML to continue developing and scaling our AML/CTF and Sanctions function. You'll lead a team of more than 20 professionals, building on solid foundations and ensuring our practices evolve in step with Mintos' growth.
What makes this role unique?
This is a rare opportunity to lead AML for a fast-growing fintech with a truly international footprint. Our clients come from across the European Union, and our partners span multiple regions worldwide - giving you exposure to diverse markets and regulatory environments. You'll play a key role in scaling AML processes as Mintos grows, and drive innovation through technology, automation, and new ways of thinking.
Could this role be an ideal match for you?
You're an experienced AML leader who combines strategic vision with a hands-on approach. You're passionate about using technology, automation, and AI to make compliance smarter and more efficient, while maintaining the highest standards of integrity. You enjoy leading teams, shaping strategy, and driving meaningful change that moves the organization forward.
You will:
• Lead Mintos' AML/CTF and Sanctions function, ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Combine strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in the function's key initiatives.
• Continuously enhance the efficiency, risk management, and customer experience of AML/CTF processes by leveraging technology, automation, and AI-driven tools.
• Act as a trusted partner to leadership, aligning AML strategy with broader business objectives.
• Ensure smooth, transparent, and proactive collaboration with the regulator.
• Foster a strong culture of ownership, accountability, and integrity across the AML team and wider organisation.
Your professional skills and background:
• 5+ years of experience in AML/CTF leadership roles within the financial or fintech sector.
• Deep knowledge of AML/CTF and Sanctions frameworks, including company-wide risk assessment, KYC, EDD, and transaction monitoring.
• Proven ability to design and improve AML processes using technology, automation, and AI-driven tools.
• Strong strategic mindset combined with a hands-on leadership style.
• Experience working with regulators and auditors.
• Track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent English; Latvian language skills are a strong advantage.
