inGain is a Latvian B2B fintech startup delivering a no-code SaaS Loan, Subscription (PaaS) and Rentals (EaaS) Management System for lenders and businesses in non-finance industries e.g. car dealers, telcos, retailers a.o. Established and based in Riga, we have steadily scaled since our foundation in 2022, now comprising a team of over 30 talents serving clients across 11 markets in Europe, Africa and Middle East.

In this role you will:

  • Catalog and document software issues, bugs, and inconsistencies.
  • Report issues to the Project Manager (PM) and collaborate to prioritise and organise their resolution.
  • Plan, create, and maintain detailed test cases, scenarios, and test plans during the project planning phase.
  • Perform manual testing to validate new features and bug fixes, ensuring high-quality releases.
  • Conduct regression testing to identify potential problems caused by recent changes.
  • Monitor test results, analyse defects, and participate in root cause analysis.
  • Work closely with developers and other teams to ensure test coverage and resolve any found issues.
  • Participate in team processes, including daily meetings and sprint reviews, to ensure testing requirements are considered.

You are going to be a great fit if you:

  • Have hands-on experience in quality assurance and software testing.
  • Are skilled in writing test plans, cases, and defect reports.
  • Have experience with manual testing techniques.
  • Have a basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Are familiar with working in Agile environments and using version control systems like Git.
  • Have experience working with PMs and developers to prioritise issues effectively.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written English communication skills for effective customer interactions.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality.
  • Are comfortable working closely with developers using PHP frameworks such as Laravel.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience testing web applications built with Laravel Blade, Tailwind CSS, or HTMX.
  • Have experience with automated testing tools like Selenium. 
  • Are familiar with Jira or other project management tools.
  • Have experience in fintech or payments platforms.
