IT security and Compliance Manager

What you will do

As an IT Security and Compliance Manager, you will focus on the technical aspects of our information system security - detecting and addressing vulnerabilities, improving defences, and responding to incidents, while ensuring alignment with relevant security regulations and standards.

You will:

• Run regular vulnerability scans and conduct penetration testing to identify and address security gaps;
• Review code and configurations to ensure compliance with secure development practices;
• Promote security awareness through training, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration, and provide guidance on selecting, implementing, and configuring IT security tools in line with best-practice standards;
• Investigate security alerts and incidents, refine detection rules, and drive continuous improvement, while actively contributing to incident response activities including detection, containment, investigation, and recovery;
• Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits that could impact our technology environment;
• Participate in and support regular IT security risk assessments.

Your professional skills and background:

• 3 years of experience in IT security, compliance, or related roles. Experience in a regulated company within the financial services industry will be considered a bonus;
• Good knowledge of relevant security standards and laws (e.g., ISO 27001, OWASP web and mobile, GDPR). Knowledge of regulations related to the financial services industry (e.g., DORA) will be considered a bonus;
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) will be considered a bonus;
• Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and take initiative;
• Strong communication skills in English and Latvian, both written and spoken.
