Financial Controller

As our Financial Controller, you'll be at the heart of Bondora's financial decision-making engine. You will ensure accurate, insightful reporting and analysis that helps steer our business forward. This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond just reporting numbers—someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves uncovering stories behind data, and is hungry to make a measurable impact.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Monitor and analyze actual vs. budget and historical performance, providing clear, insightful explanations for variances
• Perform financial and operational analyses to support decision-making
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reports and participate in the budgeting and forecasting process
• Support internal control processes and assist in ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, validate data, and enhance reporting quality
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial controlling processes and reporting efficiency
• Support finance team in communicating key insights and financial results to internal stakeholders
• Support ad hoc projects and reporting requests from senior finance stakeholders or management

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in a financial controlling, financial analyst, or accounting role—preferably in an international company
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis tools)
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
• Bonus: experience with SQL
