Job Description

Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of Global Finance organization and responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. To support Management Reporting process and deliverables for client Business Unit, in accordance with agreed timeline and quality, we are now looking for:

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (Record-to-Report Denmark)

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support in preparation of monthly and quarterly Management reporting, including accompanying variance analysis and comments on business performance (business review, store count, same store sales, etc.)

  • Perform cost follow-up analysis and track performance vs business plan

  • Analyze financials, including P&L and balance sheet and provide timely reviews and analysis of actual financial results vs business plan and prior periods

  • Assist is securing the correctness and completeness of P&L and drive corrective actions when necessary – prepare accruals, adjustments and reclassifications

  • Ensure integrity of financial results through ERP system set-ups and identify/correct system issues as necessary

  • Participate in Business Plan (Budget) process and facilitate the preparation of OPEX budget for specific areas of the business

  • Partner with BU PMA team and play a part in providing relevant and timely financial information to various stakeholders (BU departments, ACT, etc.)

  • Understand accounting impacts to areas of responsibility that could affect financial performance

  • Continuously seek to improve efficiency, reliability and integrity of management reporting process and deliverables

  • Participate in projects, perform ad hoc analysis and other tasks as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Fluent English language skills (oral and writing) to communicate with colleagues and stakeholders

  • Good computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel) and general understanding of ERP systems

  • Curious and inquisitive about the results generated

  • Autonomous / Able to work with little supervision

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines

  • Accurate and detailed-oriented

  • Good communication skills, positive and pro-active attitude
