We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Planning Clerk at our new MFU for IKEA, Rathcoole.  This is a key position within our team, success will be to ensure an effective and efficient warehouse service and to be able to provide accurate management information for continuous improvement. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To produce and review daily the warehouse resource plan and highlight any potential issues for the coming week in advance to ensure mitigation is in place. Weekly summary to be sent out to site team.
  • Completion of various Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports to both the customer and depot contract Senior team highlighting key measures including: -Productivities, Agency Resource, Weekly MIP, Holiday, and skills balances.  
  • Working closely with warehouse managers to ensure the smooth running of the operation from a resource perspective and highlighting any skills or resourcing imbalances and ensuring actions are taken to mitigate.   
  • Ownership of KPI communications through Operational boards to ensure weekly site visibility of performance. 
  • Responsible for managing holiday allowance in line with accruals whilst ensuring no shortages in skills for the operation. 
  • Lead weekly Planning meetings with the Operational team to ensure all aspects of plans, resourcing, skills are reviewed, and weekly summary sent out.     

Experience, skills and attributes: 

  • Be flexible and respond positively and reliably to internal and external customer requests

  • Good Communication - Ability to present and lead Planning meeting with operational team. 

  • Numerical & Analytical Skills – Strong attention to detail to ensure reports are presented accurately.

  • Analytical Thinking - Ability to analyse and interrogate data and present to teams and management for continuous improvements. 

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

  • Intermediate+ Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables)

  • Previous experience of Distribution and Warehouse Systems desired but not essential.
