Job Description

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join our Ignitis Renewables Latvia team and assist in the development and optimization of the Company's spatial database. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Developing and optimizing the company's spatial database and integrating it with existing databases
  • Integrating publicly available spatial data to assess sites for renewable energy projects
  • Performing spatial analysis and combining it with other relevant data for project development
  • Analyzing competitor projects for insights
  • Creating cartographic studies, including map annexes for decision-making applications
  • Supporting civil designers and the project development team throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • University degree in geoinformatics, engineering, geography, or a related field
  • Experience with GIS software (at least 2 years) and proficiency in ESRI solutions (ArcGIS PRO, ArcGIS Online)
  • Knowledge of publicly available GIS systems and databases (e.g., Geoportal, INSPIRE)
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills in English and Latvian.

Would be an advantage:

  • Knowledge of Python, AutoCAD, or open-source GIS systems (e.g., QGIS) and experience in the renewable energy field.
